Summary
A Bill presented by Peter Aldous MP to amend the law relating to mobile homes.
The Bill aims to tackle some of the problems in the park homes sector including sale blocking and poor management by park homes site owners.
In the previous parliamentary session, Private Members' Bills were tabled by Christopher Chope MP and Stephen Gilbert MP in efforts to improve the living conditions of park home residents and to improve the licensing process to become a park site owner. However, both Bills failed to complete their passage in parliament due to prorogation and were subsequently dropped.
The second reading of the Mobile Homes Bill is due to take place on 19 October 2012.
