Marine Navigation (No. 2) Bill 2012-13
(This Bill is from a previous session)
Bill is now an Act
Type of Bill:
A Bill presented by Sheryll Murray MP to make provision in relation to marine navigation and harbours.
The Bill would extend the powers of port authorities beyond the current one-mile radius, allowing them to further deal with suspected criminals. Similarly, the Bill allows Trinity House, who oversees shipping safety, to charge market rates for their services including the maintenance of lighthouses and satellite navigation, in order to cut costs for their existing users.
