Summary
A Bill presented by Simon Kirby MP to amend section 21 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970.
Under the Bill, councils would be allowed to use plain-clothes inspectors to detect parking-badge fraud and to recover cancelled badges from previously registered owners. Similarly, councils would have the right to cancel disabled parking badges if a badge is stolen or if the local authority has a justified reason for doing so.
