Crime and Courts Bill [HL] 2012-13

The House of Lords considered clauses 13 to 18 and schedules 8 to 12 of the Bill. Clauses 13 to 18 were agreed to. Schedules 8 and 11 were agreed to. Schedules 9 and 10 were agreed to, as amended. Consideration of schedule 12 continues.

The House of Lords considered schedule 13 and clauses 20 to 22 of the Bill. Schedule 13 was agreed to, as amended. Clauses 20 to 22 were agreed to. A new clause, entitled "Transfer of immigration or nationality judicial review applications", was added to the Bill after clause 19.

The House of Lords considered clauses 23 to 31 and schedule 16 of the Bill. Clauses 24 to 27 and 29 were agreed to. Schedule 16 was agreed to. Clauses 28, 30 to 31 were agreed to, as amended. Clause 23 was disagreed to.

The House of Lords considered amendments to clauses 1-2, 4-5, 9, 11-12 and 16 and schedules 1-3, 5 and 7 of the Bill.

The House of Lords considered amendments to clause 23 and schedule 16 of the Bill.

The House of Lords considered amendments to clause 34 and schedules 13 and 15. The Bill was passed and sent to the Commons.

The House of Commons debated the general principles of the Bill, which was read for a second time and passed to a Public Bill Committee.

The committee considered clauses 2-7 and schedules 2-4 of the Bill. All of which, were agreed to.

The committee considered clauses 18-29 and schedules 13-14 of the Bill. Clauses 18-25, 27 and 29 and schedule 14 were agreed to. Clause 28 and schedule 13 were agreed to, as amended. Clause 26 was disagreed to.

The committee considered clauses 36-37 and schedules 17-18 of the Bill. Clauses 36, 37 and schedule17 were agreed to. Consideration of schedule 18 continues.

The House of Commons considered amendments to clauses 2, 12, 18, 33 and schedules 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 22 of the Bill. New Clauses 2, 3, 7, 17, 18 and new schedules 1 and 2 were also considered. New Clauses 2 and 17 were not called. New clause 3 was agreed to on division. New clause 7 was negatived on division and new clause 18 was withdrawn. New schedules 1 and 2 were agreed to.

After a short debate, the Bill was read for the third time and passed with amendments.
